Use Pubeasy with a Hachette US Prepay Account
Hachette Book Group is one of the few suppliers in the North American region who will link a prepay account on Pubeasy.
As a user with a Hachette prepay account, you will follow the normal Pubeasy workflow to link your Hachette account and build and place your orders. However, after you submit each order you have an additional step you must take: paying your invoice.
Once you submit a Hachette order at Pubeasy.com, Hachette Customer Service will send you a pro forma invoice with your total and the note that “We have not shipped your order yet.” Whether you receive your pro forma invoice by email or postal mail depends on your account settings. Please contact Hachette Customer Service at 800-759-0190 if you do not receive your pro forma invoice or to change your invoice preference.
When will my Pubeasy order ship?
In order for your Pubeasy Hachette order to ship, two things must be true:
1) You must have submitted payment to Hachette for the order. The pro forma invoice you will receive includes the following standard payment instructions:

2) You must meet Hachette’s shipping minimum.
Please note that Hachette does not currently indicate in Pubeasy order status if orders are being held for payment, and MVB Support does not know whether your Hachette account is a prepay one or not.
Converting to Terms
If the above workflow does not work well for you, an alternative is to fill in a credit application to convert your Hachette prepay account to a terms account. Once converted, your orders will ship without prepayment so long as your account is in good standing. To apply for credit, please email CFSCreditAppApproval@hbgusa.com and request a credit application.
