Pubeasy Release 3.19 (August 31, 2026)
This release is planned for Monday, August 31, 2026 and should not include any downtime. The release is primarily focused around building the platform infrastructure needed to expand our support of EDIFACT, but there some customer-visible changes.
Pubeasy.com Changes
Quicksearch improvements
In Pubeasy, picking a suggestion from the search dropdown now runs the search immediately (or opens the product page directly) - no extra click or Enter needed. We also fixed a bug where selecting the Author from the suggestions did not actually submit an author search.
Changes to reset password flow
We have fixed the bug introduced in the last release that prevented users from changing their password. We have also updated the forgot-password flow to now let users reset by email alone, only asking for a username in the rare case the email matches more than one account. This makes the process simpler and more user-friendly for the majority of our customers who have only one account associated with their email address.
Registration
New customers who click an expired registration link will get a clear "your link has expired" message and can request a new one, instead of a broken page with no way forward.
Supplier Invoice Creation Screen
We have made significant changes to the Vendor Order Manager screen that many smaller UK suppliers use to create and send invoices to retailers. These changes are designed to better demonstrate how VAT is applied, especially to mixed-media products like a bundled book with CD. During this redesign the ability for any supplier to edit the list price of an item has been removed and the invoice will key off the previously acknowledged price.
[Pubnet/X12] Reject X12 files with missing segment terminators
Faulty X12 files that would break on the customer's side will now be caught and rejected with a clear "Incomplete file" error, and the sender is automatically notified. This will prevent one customer's incorrect data from affecting other customers, increasing platform stability.
TRADACOMS bug fixes
- Corrects the recommended retail price shown on the summary line of mixed-VAT invoices. No VAT or invoice total was wrong - only the displayed retail figure, which is now accurate.
- Fixes an internal mislabelling where Tradacoms credit notes were tagged as acknowledgements. Ensures credit notes are correctly identified in routing and reporting.
EDIFACT bug fix
The shipping date on Tradacoms despatch notes is now correct and not confused with the expected delivery date. Prevents wrong dates in reporting and downstream processing.
Platform improvements
- Umbrella work to allow us to support EDIFACT invoices and delivery notes.
- Backend work to better support translations between different EDI specifications (EDIFACT to X12 / TRADACOMS and vice versa).
