Use Mnemonics/Supplier Override codes (UK)
Some Publishers/Suppliers can be addressed by a specific supplier code - also called a mnemonic. This is useful if you want to address your order/order line to a specific supplier but don´t know the correct GLN or Mailbox name for example. Mnemonics can be used in different order methods: either in EDI files of TRADACOM and EANCOM at the STX-Segment or in order files such as Telelink III and CSV. If you want to use mnemonic codes, your mailbox should have a SAN as well as a GLN. Using mnemonics does not require Account Linking with the supplier. However, the supplier may contact you before your first order. The usage of mnemonics is currently only available for UK Suppliers and for TRADACOM/EANCOM.
