Use Pubeasy with a New MPS US Account

When you open a wholesale account with MPS / Macmillan that ships to a commercial address and tell them you'd like to order via Pubeasy, they will send you their credit application to fill out and return. While waiting to receive back your credit application, they will provide you with a small amount of credit and allow you to link your account on Pubeasy, but your account will be placed on Credit Hold status. This means orders you place on Pubeasy will be manually reviewed and only released if you have enough available open credit.

Pubeasy was designed to work with trade credit accounts in good standing. We have learned that being in the status Credit Hold causes a problem with MPS's system when you request Order Status through us. Sometimes we receive back problematic information and we display to you a different title or quantity than what you ordered or the wrong tracking information. However, you'll note that the ISBNs and ordered qty are still correct. Nothing has changed on your order; it is simply an order status display problem.

Once you return your credit application and are no longer in Credit Hold status, Pubeasy Order Status should work properly for new orders. However, any odd data we received for earlier orders will persist. If you have problems with order status for orders placed after your account was approved for terms, please contact us.

How can I know my order status?

Until you return your credit application and get removed from Credit Hold, we suggest that you communicate frequently with your credit rep about any orders you placed on Pubeasy and their status. If you need contact information for your credit rep, please email AcctInfo@mpsvirginia.com.
