Pubeasy Release 3.18 (July 18-19, 2026)

This release will include approximately 36 hours of downtime when updated over the weekend of July 18-19th, 2026. The downtime will start at 4am EST/9am UK on July 18th and end in the afternoon or evening of July 19th.

Retailer-Visible Changes

Pubeasy.com Changes

One-click add-to-cart flow in search results: Selecting a title using the check boxes now automatically sets the quantity to 1. This speeds up browsing and ordering.

Improved order planning with order lists: Buyers can now add any product from search results to an order list even before an ordering relationship is enabled. This allows you to construct and download any required opening orders to include with your applications when applying for new accounts with Pubeasy suppliers.

Clearer quantity validation messages: When a quantity is too high, users see a helpful explanation instead of a technical error.

More complete product details: Subtitles now display in the product detail page when provided in ONIX. This helps buyers confirm they’re selecting the right title.

Account linking is easier to complete, because the Submit button stays visible with a sticky footer instead of being hidden below long lists. This reduces missed steps and repeated scrolling.

API Updates (for UK/European Retailers)

Faster API ordering when no PO number is provided: The system generates a PO number instantly using the current UTC timestamp. This improves order processing speed and reduces the risk of timeouts and accidental duplicate orders.

Retailer API results no longer include items from inactive suppliers, keeping search and integrations cleaner and preventing confusion from unavailable suppliers.

New secure option for SOAP integrations, supporting client-certificate authentication for retailers using the new SOAP API. This offers a standards-based authentication method for integrations.

Technical Changes & Bug Fixes

ONIX imports now support UTF‑8 BOM formatting, so ONIX files saved with a BOM are processed correctly and no longer fail during import.

SFTP server upgrade. Our SFTP server and other infrastructure components were upgraded to keep our platform secure and up-to-date.

Bug Fixes:

  • Penguin Random House UK products should now display correct pricing in all retailer markets.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented some covers for importing from UK suppliers.
